Thanks to everyone that was involved with the workparty Yesterday. I think we've made a good start.

Again its a shame that not everyone in the club wants to improve their own fishing.

well done to those who turned out for the work party, im sure you have made a difference, i am sure though that like myself there are some members who were otherwise engaged, ( I WAS AWAY IN BERWICK ) and those engaged members might have liked to make a difference but couldnt because of commitments. something to think about scratch

Fair comment Mark but it is a little hard to imagine that all the 70 odd members who didn't come had other commitments on Sunday and have had commitments at every other workparty we have had.

As you know Mark it does seem to be the same faces that attend the work parties and unlike you have done with this work party the other members don’t tell us why they can’t attend. So how can we schedule them better if we don’t know why people don’t, can’t or won’t attend?

A good example of this is the meeting last week when we suggested the dates no-one seemed to have a problem with them and no-one said the wouldn't be coming because of a prior arrangement.

I’m the first to admit that I haven’t attended all the work parties; in fact Iain couldn’t get to the one on Sunday because he had a family bereavement my point is that the vast majority of the membership would like to see improvements at all our waters yet they would rather someone else do the work. (I can say the vast majority because of a membership of 80 we very rarely get more than 10 members at work parties). Now to me it seems a little unfair to expect others to improve my fishing.
