Hi all just can you help, just my son giving up bits fishing and joining darth vader on the dark side lol.

Can you guve some advise on end tackle for carp fishing
eg hooks what size etc ??? and type ???
hook lengh material ????? and breaking strain etc ????

Just had a look thro catalogues etc and the more i look the more confusing it gets.

I'm sure the rest of the stormtroopers will be along soon to get into a discussion but I would say the best thing Brett could do is to carry on calling into the park, but start asking people about their rigs!!!

The last time I fished (which was some years ago now) I was using size 6 Mugga hooks (barbless) with Kryston Mantis as a hooklength and I was doing a little trick which Gary Appleton showed me which involved shrink tube.

As I say I'm sure some of the chaps will be along soon. Until then "never underestimate the power of the darkside"

Take a leaf out of jons book,and use mono hooklenths,cheap reels,crap rods,and sit on your rods all day,he always winkles out one or two,although his lucky streak will run out soon!!!!!
