i fished thorny five or six times in the summer- there were a couple of double figure ghosties coasting the surface and the 4 in 1 lads tell me there are good 20's in there. As for the tench i caught 12 or 13 in one session, all in the space of a mad 2hours. i found that it fished better with cloud cover- bright sunshine seemed to drive the fish into cover as the water is crystal clear. As for Forresters - the last time i was there it was really overgrown around the pond and the pond itself looked fairly choked. Might be an idea next year to have some one off matches at these venues just to keep people interested. No one was fishing thorny last year til a few of us got wind of some big bags (no pun intended) to be had- i think it will be the same if people who fish Forresters get details of it on Leazes Lines.
