| hello i am new to the forums and new hopefully to the club i was jsut wondering do you have to have a landing net at all times whilst fishing (i am going for the small fish and not the carp for now) just so i know wether to bring it or not and is there anyone going to be there today to give me some pointers or anytthing |

| welcome to the forum mr makem , as paul says a landing net is essential when you fish the park as there are other larger species of fish in the lake which all turn up when your fishing for the bits, as for the carp a carp landing net is not needed unless you are actually targeting them , in which case you will also need with you an unhooking mat. welcome aboard and tight lines _________________ Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt [b]

| welcome to the best web-site on the net,and the maddest club in the world,the only club where everyone is top rod,but catches nowt!!(hutch) as for your question:- nets always,mats for carp,barbless hooks always(mala) and the main rule is not to catch bigger fish than me!!!! enjoy |

| chance would be a fine thing( cathing a bigger fish) but i did make it onto the pnd and got only 4 in three hours smallish perch but was dead relaxing and jamie helped me out and also mark gave me some pointers wil be back on tomorrow if our lass lets me go to the hospital with my son lol might see some of you on there |

| Hello there im new as well maybe we could do a spot of fishing together,paul told me about a great place called stargate quarry,where 30lb bags of fish are not uncommon,i know a lovely man who runs it,can not remember his name but he has glasses and a beard,looks like that thing that shouts alot on the muppets,ill be fishing leazes on friday morning with jamie if you would like to join us |
