Hello all Anyone know how the bits fishing is going at killy lake these days? Just getting back into fishing and remember having some cracking days down there when I was a nipper targeting tench and crucians (and out else that would nibble me worms). Heard that the big lake goes mental for silvers in summer but used to fish the smaller one mainly (about 15 years ago), and remember it having some nice fish. Any advice would be appreciated

Champion, cheers Isaac. Gonna give it a bash tomorrow, with me nephew. Does anyone ever fish the small lake anymore? Last time I looked it seemed shallower than I remember and a lot of the reed cover seemed to have gone. Oh and someones put a bloody great fence right in front of what used to be me favourite swim for crucians!

Cheers lads Had me a trip to Killy as promised and it turns out Isaac was right. Jumped straight on the swim you suggested and bagged up on perch, with a few other species making a show too. I'll have to give Leazes a go on the waggler next time I'm down there and chuck a boillie over to the island for good measure, just in case my luck changes and I can bag another carp. Only had one fish out of there since I joined the club and to date its my biggest at 9lb. Gotta get a double this year (or maybe one of the 20's if my luck really changes ).

Heh Heh, gave it a go with a mate of mine last year, had a 2lb common and a screaming run that I failed to convert, that was it for the night. Just before the run though I had a bizzare dream about some guy dumping rolls of carpet in the lake near the cage, they kept floating down and getting snagged on my gear. Pretty bizzare, and ironic, "carp"et, wonder if it means anything? Cheers for all the feed back, glad to be a member of such a friendly club.

Anyone know whats going on at Fellgate? Heard somewhere (can't remember where) that they're shifting all the fish from the reedy lake into the other one in preperation for deweeding and dredging it. Anyone know if this is true?
