cheers The news from carl is that the weight of the new carp record stands at 25lb 1oz, he has told me that after having his scales checked the original weight comes up a bit short of expectation, that being said it is still an achievement to warrant praise, a 25lb carp out of leazes was laughed at 3 years ago, people just looked at you stupidly if you suggested such a fish could come from our water, so let me again be the first to offer my congratulations to you carl, well done. Now lets not forget that there is already a bigger fish in the water that we know of,, NORMS BABY, A fish that topped the weight of carls fish, and one that im fairly sure will be pushing 26 or even 27lb now, the carp in leazes just seem to be going from strength to strength with lots of high doubles coming to the bank, mixed in with these are the next generation of carp with fish that must have bred on from our stock showing on the bank from 4lb upwards. cheers

pretty much covered it there mark! yeah well done to the swim bandit sorry (typo) i meant carl the owner of the most inacurate catapult i have ever had the misfortune to fish the same swim as!!!!!!! lol! nice to see the twenties putting the weight on not as big as we first thought but a cracking fish none the less. there seems to be a lot of smaller fish this year than there was last year neil reported seeing at least half a dozen around the 3lb mark following a pod of bigger fish. and at least one new twenty which came out at the weekend at 20lb 8oz. happy days!! roll on saturday lets hope there is another twenty graces the net of sme lucky angler on the nighter, c'mon hutch stop soaking your baits in that twenty repellent!!!! lol! lol! lol! Laughing

p.s this is not a snipe at carl in any way , its just a pet hate of mine, i know fish care is of the utmost importance but i cant understand why anglers are happy with crap photos of good fish , c'mon people take a little more care taking photos of these magnificent fish so us anglers who cant catch them can enjoy them aswell.
