Having just joined the club I would be grateful for the location of Forresters pond and any advice on car parking.

I like yourself are a new member to the LPAA. I asked the same type of question on the 23rd January this year and am still waiting for a reply, hope you get the answer your seeking. I'm starting to feel that the place only exsists in the minds of those that are soaked in alco drunken hol

Cheers Micky. I have seen a reference to the place on another site and using that tracked it down using Google Earth.

If you log onto Google Earth and find Durham City then follow the River Wear North until you come to a sewage works the pond is just to the North West of the works between it and the railway line.

It looks as though it is quite a way along a muddy track and I am still not sure how to get to it by car from the North. Anybody willing to help?

Interestingly DCACs Brass Side pond looks closer and easier to get to. It is just to the north of Forresters

Micky

I hold all the exchange tickets. If you want one you need to get in touch with me either by phone (my number is on the letter you got with your membership) or on the lpaa@hotmail.co.uk email address

You need to pick up the ticket before your session and return it after. Under no circumstances can any member just turn up at any of the exchange ticket waters without the ticket.

Cheers

Paddy
